About This Tour:

Come and experience the unique flavour of this kitsch and hip, happening ‘hood! Combining aspects of history and culture, this walk will take you on a journey through time, from the expansion of the city onto the marshlands of the Marais by the Templars, right through to the development of the famous hotel particuliers (town mansions), the expansion and decline of the Jewish communities, and the vibrant, liberal nightlife of modern times. You will visit the renowned Hotels de Sens and du Sully, the picturesque Village Saint-Paul, see ruins of a medieval wall and the historic Place des Vosges, amongst others! You will also glimpse the famous final dwellings of iconic people like Jim Morrison (The Doors) and Victor Hugo (author of Les Miserables and The Hunchback of Notre Dame). The extended 3 hour tour will also show you filming sites for The Bourne Identity (2008), the origins of the Knights Templar, and other awesome sights!
