About This Tour:

You will learn about the history and main events of the French Revolution, from events leading up to its outbreak, right up to the coup led by Napoleon Bonaparte! Covering key sites, prominent people and terrifying actions of revolutionaries and feared politicians as they challenged the status quo, lopped off thousands of heads, and changed the course of the world forever for better or worse! Also focusing on the Parisian penchant for resistance and revolutionary action, this tour reveals the macabre history behind some of Paris’s most famous sites and attractions, such as the Palais de Justice, the Conciergerie, the Hotel de Ville and the Place de la Concorde, along with some lesser known sites on the right and left banks of the river. You will also find out about the controversial and highly contested actions of people from Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, to leading agitators such as Robespierre, Danton and the most famous and dreaded Revolutionary figure of all – the Guillotine!

This tour is based on independently researched and arranged information, bringing you a highly original tour through the streets and monuments of Paris.
